What are some of the signs of a water leak?

• Is your water meter spinning when all water fixtures are off – taps, dishwasher, washing machine, irrigation?
• Is your water bill suddenly high?
• Can you hear a hissing sound when everything is quiet?
• Do you have wet patches appearing in your house or garden?

What can you do if you think you have a water leak?

• Check for dripping taps or leaking toilet cisterns.
• Check the water meter is not 'ticking over' - make sure all water fixtures are off including the washing machine, dishwasher, toilet isolation tap and irrigation.
• Turn off water supply to hot water system. Check the meter is not moving.
• If the meter is still turning, turn off the water at the mains and call Gold Medal Services to investigate for a water leak.
